why i’m moving from marketing craft into marketing systems
plenty of people can pull a number. fewer can say what marketing should do because of it.
i started my career in brand and product marketing. craft is where i come from: understanding customers, shaping positioning, and telling a clear story.
but the deeper i went into growth across hospitality, fintech, marketplaces, and global saas, the more i realized that craft alone hits a ceiling if it is not backed by systems.
craft vs. systems
- craft is knowing what message resonates with a customer.
- systems is building the tracking plan, kpi tree, funnel diagnosis, and automation loop so that every campaign compounds over time.
plenty of people can pull a number from a dashboard. fewer can say what marketing should actually do because of that number, and what trade-offs that decision creates for the business.
what i am practicing now
- measurement & analytics: building kpi trees and diagnosing funnel drop-offs before spending a dollar on ads.
- ai fluency: turning repetitive marketing tasks into reusable, tested ai agent skills.
- marketing automation: connecting data, lifecycle triggers, and attribution into one clean engine.
born in spring (craft), chasing winter (systems). that is the whole thesis of my work right now.
